Organisée entre 1680 et 1683, elle se nommait alors galerie des Antiques ou galerie d'Eau et contenait une allée centrale bordée d'orangers, d'ifs taillés, de bassins et de jets d'eau.
Sur le pourtour de cette allée étaient alignées 24 statues antiques.
Entièrement remanié en 1704, ce bosquet est alors devenu la salle des Marronniers, ornée de huit bustes antiques et de deux statues.
Organised between 1680 and 1683, the frove called the Chestnuts Room was then called the Gallery of Antiques or Water Gallery, and had a central path lined with orange trees, yews, ponds and water jets.
Along this path there used to be a line of eighty antiques statues.
Entirely redesigned in 1704, the grove became the Chestnuts Room, adorne with eight antique busts ans two statues.
